Speaker of the House of Commons: A look back

On Monday, the Speaker of the House, Sir Lindsay Hoyle chaired Chamber business including Questions to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
On Tuesday morning, the Speaker welcomed the Speaker of the Moroccan Parliament, Rachid Talbi El Alami, to Speaker's House. During the afternoon the Speaker welcomed the Speaker of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon. Bridgid Annisette-George, and the IPU President, Duarte Pacheco.
In the evening, the Speaker attended and spoke at the History of Parliament Trust reception in Speaker's House, to welcome the publication of volumes 56-65 of The History of Parliament, including 1,806 biographies of MPs.
On Wednesday morning, the Speaker welcomed to the House of Commons, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva. The Speaker was also visited by the President of the Legislative Council of South Australia, Terry Stephens.
In the afternoon, the Speaker chaired Chamber business including Prime Minister's Questions.

Welcoming the Speaker of the Moroccan Parliament
The Speaker welcomed the President of the House of Representatives of Morocco, Mr Rachid Talbi Alami, to Speaker's House. During their meeting they had the opportunity to discuss the positive and growing bilateral relationship between the UK and Morocco
Welcoming the Speaker of Trinidad and Tobago
The Speaker welcomed the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago, Bridgid Annisette-George, to the House of Commons.

The Speaker attended and spoke at the History of Parliament Trust reception in Speaker's House to welcome the publication of volumes 56-65 of The History of Parliament, including 1,806 biographies of MPs.

Welcoming the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal
The Speaker was was pleased to welcome the President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, Augusto Santos Silva, to Speaker's House. During their meeting they discussed the topics of trade, climate change and the impact of forest fires which have taken place in Portugal this year.
Welcoming the President of the Legislative Council of South Australia
The Speaker welcomed the President of the Legislative Council of South Australia, Terry Stephens, to watch Prime Minister's Questions. Mr Stephens visited Speaker's House where they had a chance to talk about his visit and Rugby League Football.
