On Tuesday 19 April 2022, Mark Pawsey MP led a Westminster Hall debate on business to business selling and encouraging jobs and growth.

Introducing the topic, he gave the following statement:

"This debate aims to show the importance of business to business (B2B) selling and why changes are needed, particularly in the wake of both Covid and Brexit.
"I will set out what needs to be done to upskill the B2B sales workforce in small and medium-sized enterprises and explore how we can encourage more young people to retrain in B2B selling.
"I will also address what measures the Government can take to help encourage professional sales."

What is a Westminster Hall Debate?

Westminster Hall debates take place in the Grand Committee Room in the House of Commons.

They give MPs an opportunity to raise local or national issues and receive a response from a government minister.

Debates in Westminster Hall take place on ‘general debate' motions expressed in neutral terms. These motions are worded ‘That this House has considered [a specific matter]'.
